Thankful For The Chapters of 2017

As I reflect upon last year it was probably a bit of a mixed bag for me. I was blessed with the most incredible miracle, yet also really struggled through some challenging work circumstances and my confidence and sanity really suffered as a result. Next Birth After Caesarean – Navigating the System and Defending One’s Birth Rights

After the birth of my daughter, I wrote about when birth does not go according to expectations, with her delivery resulting in a caesarean section. A previous surgical birth had multiple implications for my second pregnancy and delivery, the major one being the freedom of choice and support pertaining to a repeat caesarean section or vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC).

Navigating pregnancy after fertility treatment

If you are following my blog posts you would be familiar with my journey to becoming a mother, requiring fertility treatment to conceive our first child. After 2 years of trying various things from Metformin to Clomid, and eventually gonadotrophin (FSH) injections and intrauterine insemination (IUI), I finally fell pregnant on cycle 2 of FSH injections and IUI.
